Welcome to Lena Fong's webpage. I hope that you will find it a useful resource for questions regarding acupuncture. On this site, there is information on what acupuncture can treat, as well as some links to other sites that I have found interesting. The benefits of acupuncture is getting greater recognition in these modern times and has recently been featured on BBC2's "Alternative Medicine" programme. However, it is important to find an acupuncturist who is registered with an accredited professional body, such as the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC).
Members of the BAcC have completed a thorough training of at least three years in traditional acupuncture and bio-medical sciences appropriate to the practice of acupuncture. The BAcC maintains common standards of education, ethics, discipline and practice to ensure high standards in the practice of acupuncture and health and safety of all its members. They are also ensure that their members are fully insured and conform to local regulations.
